About this speaker

Miami-based Deborah Mash is a neuroscientist, pharmacologist, inventor and entrepreneur. She was the first to conduct FDA-approved clinical studies of ibogaine for cocaine use disorders and her laboratory identified noribogaine as a pharmacologically active metabolite. Mash founded and ran the Healing Visions Institute for Addiction Recovery, the first government approved Ibogaine Clinic on the island of St. Kitts WI. She oversaw the treatment of 287 patient volunteers. These results formed the first observational data on the safety, metabolism, and efficacy of the drug for patients seeking to break their cycle of addiction. She is currently Professor emerita at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and CEO and scientific founder at DemeRx Inc.
